Hi! I’m Austin Crouse. I’m a Venture for America Alum based in New Orleans, LA. My current gig is directing investments at 4.0 Schools, a non-profit education incubator that has helped launch over 50 education ventures (new schools, learning spaces, and tools). Here are some companies I’m particularly proud to have worked with: New York on Tech, Juicebox, Blink Blink, and Thrival Academies. I designed and currently run our Tiny Fellowship Program.
I’m originally from Baton Rouge, LA (see: crawfish, the Saints, and beignets), but I spent my formative years in Georgia (see: the Hawks, peaches, and Coca-Cola). I studied Mass Media Arts and Economics at the University of Georgia. A brief stint in Boston as a kid seems to have neutralized any southern accent I once had, but I’m proud of the good parts of the South and acknowledge its troubled history - such is the duality of the southern thing. I'm working to make my home in NOLA a more inclusive, progressive, and welcoming community.
I’m also the co-founder of Pollo Con Leche, a production company specializing in web video content. We occasionally make short films.
